NRI documentation support

Help for NRI students and sponsors with the documents that NRI and overseas-Indian quotas ask for.

Overview

Admission under the NRI or overseas-Indian quota depends heavily on getting the documents right: the right papers for your quota, issued and attested in the right form, with the sponsor’s details consistent everywhere. We match a checklist to your college and quota, review every paper and coordinate across time zones.

Who it is for

How it works, step by step

  1. 1Confirm the quota and its conditionsWe read the official information bulletin of the state, university or college and note who qualifies, who can be a sponsor and what proof is required. Conditions differ from one authority to another and from year to year.
  2. 2Prepare a checklist for your caseWe build a document list based on the quota, the college and your family’s situation, with a column for what you have and what is still needed.
  3. 3Review each documentWe check names, spellings, dates and numbers across the passport, certificates and affidavits, because small mismatches are a common reason for objections.
  4. 4Guide attestation, notarisation and apostilleWhere the notice asks for attestation, notarisation, apostille or translation, we explain the steps, the offices involved and the order in which they are done, so that nothing has to be repeated.
  5. 5Prepare the sponsor documentsWe help you draft the sponsor declaration or affidavit in the format the authority requires and list the relationship and income proofs that normally accompany it.
  6. 6Coordinate across time zonesWe schedule calls and messages around your working hours abroad and keep one shared list of pending items so that nothing is missed.
  7. 7Final check before submissionBefore upload or submission we run a last check against the checklist and the file size and format rules of the online portal.

What we check and consider

What you get

What to keep ready

How long it takes

Attestation and apostille can take time, especially when documents come from another country, so it is wise to begin early. How much time you have depends on the counselling calendar and the college’s last date, which are announced each year. Please check the official notice of the current year and tell us your deadlines at the start.

What we do not do

We are a counselling service. We do not guarantee any seat, college, branch or result. Always confirm dates, fees and rules on the official notice of the current year.

Questions answered

Who counts as an NRI candidate?

The definition differs by state, university and college and can change from year to year. Some quotas depend on the candidate’s own status and some on the sponsor’s. Please read the official notice of the current year; we help you interpret it for your family.

Who can be a sponsor?

Authorities usually accept close relatives, and sometimes others with stated proof. The accepted list and the proof required are given in the notice. We help you match your situation to it before you spend time on affidavits.

What is the difference between attestation and apostille?

Both are ways of confirming that a signature or seal on a document is genuine. An apostille is a standard certificate used between countries that have joined the relevant international convention, while other countries use an attestation chain through their own offices and embassies. Which one applies depends on the country that issued the document.

Do I need to translate my documents?

If a document is not in English or the language the authority accepts, a certified translation is usually needed. The notice states who may issue it. We tell you what is required for your case.

My passport expires soon. What should I do?

Renew it early, because many admission and visa steps require a passport with sufficient validity. Do not wait for admission to begin the renewal.

Can you collect my documents in India for me?

We can guide a family member in India on what to collect and where, and help you prepare an authorisation where one is required. We cannot act in place of the person named on the document.

Why do small spelling differences matter?

Authorities match names and dates across documents. A mismatch can cause objections or delays, and correcting it later may need an affidavit or a corrected certificate. We catch such differences early.
