Look for evidence, not adjectives
- Approval and recognition from the relevant regulator
- Faculty profiles and student-teacher interaction
- Labs, clinical exposure or industry training, shown rather than described
- Outcome reports: how many students, which roles, over how many years
Ask current students and alumni
- What is the daily routine like?
- Are classes and practicals regular?
- What support exists for placements, internships or higher studies?
- What surprised you after joining?
Check the practical details
- Total cost across the whole course
- Hostel, food and safety arrangements
- Location, travel and cost of living
- Rules on attendance, exams and fees refunds
Visit or virtually tour
If possible, visit the campus and talk to people who are not part of the admissions desk. A quick visit often reveals more than a long brochure.
